The Master of Science aims at developing the interdisciplinary and sophisticated competencies and the skills that are required to successfully work as finance specialists and financial institutions’ managers or consultants. To have an above average competence in a number of different areas is an important advantage and also helps a finance specialist to maintain more flexibility in his or her career path that could develop in a number of different finance related companies.
The Master of Science in Finance offers all the key competencies in all the different areas of finance,This exposure to all key areas rather than to a subset only is crucial to enable students to become competent, flexible and able to interact with colleagues from different divisions and backgrounds in their future professional career. It also offers the choice of a wide number of specialized elective courses that can be chosen according to the desired career path and personal interests.
Its curriculum is designed in order to provide an optimal balance between theory and its practical application in the industry. This is proved not only by the success of Finance students with top recruiters, but also by the fact that the M.Sc. in Finance has been one of the first five graduate degrees worlwide to be recognized by the CFA Institute, the most important association of investment professionals (especially security analysts, money managers and investment advisers) as a CFA Program Partner. This implies that that the CFA Institute has recognized that the curriculum of the M.Sc. in Finance at Bocconi covered at least 70% of the body of knowledge required for the CFA Level III Exam, which represents the most important professional certification for any investment professional.
Learning Objectives

Double Degree programs:

Double Degree programs offer the opportunity to a limited number of students to spend one full academic year in Italy and one abroad obtaining both the Bocconi Master of Science and the graduate degree from the foreign partner university where the other year was spent.
