Master of Science in International Management
The Master of Science in International Management is an intensive two-year full-time graduate program entirely taught in English.
The program addresses managerial issues companies may face when expanding abroad and operating in international markets. Its graduates will be able to create value for their future employers through their analytical and pragmatic business capabilities, their cross-cultural interpersonal skills and their global network of Bocconi graduates and international faculty.
Students will be prepared for future positions as managers of foreign subsidiaries as well as functional managers engaged in foreign operations in larger multinational enterprises.
Learning Objectives
The program aims at developing analytical skills that facilitate the problem-solving and strategic decision-making activities in companies. The goal of the MSc in International Management is to prepare students for the task general managers of multinational firms face.
Interpersonal skills
Our goal is to develop interpersonal and leadership skills that are sensitive to different cultural environments.
Research skills
Students will get content knowledge about international markets, as well as the skills to conduct market research on specific issues. The course equips students with the necessary know-how to facilitate international business operations, such as preparing a market entry strategy by identifying competitors, the legal environment, alliance partners, customer groups etc.
International Opportunities
Double Degree
The Double Degree program offers to a selected number of graduate students the possibility to spend the first year at Bocconi, acquiring core knowledge and skills, and to specialize in the field of interest while attending the second year at one of the foreign host institutions. The institutions have been selected among the most prestigious universities in Europe. The program requires the attendance of a whole academic year abroad and an overall involvement of up to two and a half years at the end of which students of the DD program receive both Bocconi Master of Science, as well as the Master of Science from the partner institution.

Their knowledge on international functional strategies such as global sourcing, international marketing or international finance will give them access to a broad range of career opportunities in multinational corporations.
Consulting Firms: A large portion of management consulting projects today aims at helping multinational firms improve their international strategic positioning and the organizational integration of the network of subsidiaries. The MSc in International Management prepares the students for tasks involved in cross-border consulting projects.
